We're 3 couples looking for an Agriturismo or BNB in the Siena / Tuscany area for 4 nights in Sept. We were unable to book at the one we stayed previously. Hoping to find something for about 120 - 150 per night. We'll have a car so we are more flexible in choosing the town to stay. TIA
We were all set to go in Oct 2020, but...this is an agriturismo we had reservations at, recommended by a local friend who knew the family well and highly recommended it. I don't know how close/far it is for you, but it's worth a look and they have a wonderful restaurant nearby as well Del Duca Ristorante in Volterra.

Good luck; please let me know if you stay there & how it is! I am hoping to go in Oct 2023.
Thanks, Cissy
I stayed at Agriturismo Marciano just outside Siena a few years ago during a 3-week trek through Italy and loved it. Rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast was great. Some nights, the owners offered a 5-course dinner served at a communal table; each course was paired with one of the organic wines produced by the agriturismo. Best food I had in Italy. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
so glad to hear you enjoyed it; I am SOOOO looking forward to going in 2023!
Terri, if you go, please tell them that their friend teresa Dwyer from Florida recommended them, via me, Cissy Kross from Florida, who is still hoping to get there. You must let me know please how you liked it! I love how this is such a small world!!!
I totally agree with Dave. Marciano is probably my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. I’ve spent 6 weeks in Italy over two trips and they have the best food. If you stay there don’t pass up dinner if they offer it. You’ll be sorry if you do.
I’ve stayed at Fattoria Poggerino [email protected]
A few times. They have their own vineyard. It’s outside the village of Radda in Chianti. I think the accommodations are good with a lovely breakfast every morning.
I would highly recommend Borgo Argenina, a BNB, outside of the town on Monti in the Chianti region. It is about 20km from Sienna and a car is a must if you stay here. It is not an agriturismo, but a charming B&B that has three little villas. We stayed with friends in the Villa Olivera and our girls shared a room in the main house. The villas have kitchens and some nice outdoor space. We loved the breakfasts provided each day and the hospitality of the owner, Elena.
Borgo Argenina also has a cooking class on site which was phenomenal. I am still making the lasagna today and the tuscan take on tiramisu. Elena also arranged for us a delightful truffle dinner in Monti with a local truffle hunter, wine tasting near-by, one within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.
Note, this place does not have a pool, just in case that is important to you.

@Dave & @Andrea - Yes, we stayed Marciano on a prior trip, and I tried to book again for this trip, but they didn't have availability for our days! We loved it and also we did a dinner there one night that was fabulous! Hopefully we get to go back there another time.
Thanks all for the recommendations & I'll check them out.
