Ischia recommendations

We're planning to stay on Ischia for a few days following our Best of South Italy tour in the fall of 2022. Any hotel recommendations?

We stayed at Grifo Hotel Charme & Spa. It is away from the village of Ischia with nice views, but when we were there they had a shuttle at scheduled, limited times. A simple breakfast was included in our room rate. The hotel also had evening meals at ala carte pricing. Limited menu but everything was expertly prepared. We had been traveling for over a month, so Ischia and this hotel offered the quiet and relaxing atmosphere I was looking for. Many thermal spas are on Ischia and you can take a public bus around the entire island for about Euro 2.
Enjoy.

We stayed at Villa Lieta B&B in Ischia Ponte. If you spring for the suite (top floor) you get a kitchenette, living room, virtual unlimited use of the terrace (it's where breakfast is served but for the rest of the day, it is almost all yours, with amazing views of the Castello Aragonese and the view across the bay). Decent breakfast, very accommodating staff, and you can walk about 300 meters to a bus stop that connects you with the rest of the island. There are bars, restaurants, pasticcerie, and even groceries within a very short walk, and the area is festive. Beaches very close, and you are right on the water in the town.

Don't tell everyone about this place, because it is really a good deal.

The Castello Aragonese has a wonderful hotel on site. The restaurant is superb. We stayed there in 2018 and are eager to go back.
