A Rick Steves recommended hotel, Il Villino seems nice at first glance. But if you are unfortunate enough to get a lower floor room, you will get to hear (at an unusually loud volume) every step, scrape, thump, bump, and movement that occurs in the room above you. The noise was so bad late at night and early the next morning (resulting in a lousy sleep) that I asked to be moved to another room. The manager said that there were no rooms available so we made a decision to cut our stay and leave a day early. Just make sure you are upstairs if you stay here.
