Taking RS Sicily tour in October. Tour Hotel full prior to start of tour. Any recommendations for another hotel for a couple of days in Palermo?

Check on Eurostar Central Palace.Family and friends all have stayed there.

Did you email the hotel directly and ask? Mentioning that you're on the RS tour? Our experience has been that hotels on the start and end of RS tours, will set aside a block of rooms for RS tour members that will come early or stay after. They know this from years of working with RS tours. The rooms they hold are often not available through their booking site, or third party booking sites. If it's the Hotel Ambasciatori, we encountered this on our Sicily tour, and yes they held a room for us arriving three days early, even though the website said nothing was available.
RS uses smaller hotels, so they dont have huge numbers of rooms. However, if they're using the same hotels, RS tours will often have one tour coming and one going all the time. So hotels try and accommodate their favorite tour company.
PS keep in mind the time difference and check your spam filter so you dont miss a reply.

We did contact the hotel directly. They did give us options . But a personal recommendation from a fellow RS traveler is always appreciated.

Perhaps consider a B&B prior to the tour (?).

Agree with Suki. We stayed there last April for 4 nights but was fabulous. Great LI action just steps from Quattro Canti.

In Sicily now for Mar 21 tour. Hotel Ambasciatori is full; stopped by there today. They were also full when we checked in December and January. So we found a very nice place called Hotel Wagner not too far away. Its a bit of a splurge -but we are enjoying the treat after a busy time.
