Hotel Selection

We will be staying in Rome from May 2 thru May 7th next year. I would like to book our hotel using Marriott points and would like to select a hotel nearest to the attractions. Does anyone have thoughts about The Grand Flora or The Boscolo Exedra Autograph Collection Hotel. Also, can I book an airport shuttle thru the hotel or shuttle to the cruise port? Do either of these hotels offer free breakfast?

Be warned: sometimes, the Hiltons and Marriotts are not in the most central locations in major European cities. However, I just looked at the Flora and it doesn't seem bad, is near Spanish Steps and Borghese Gardens but doesn't look like it's easy walking distance to Vatican or Colosseum. However, Rome is more spread out than many cities and this hotel appears to be about equidistant from many of the sites. Because Rome is so spread out, the last time we went, we stayed at one hotel across the street from Vatican museums and then moved to a cheaper convent near the Colosseum. Unfortunately, we have not used public transportation in Rome, but the Flora seems to be quite near both the bus line and subway line(which is not as extensive as those in many other European cities-it's hard to dig subway lines when ancient ruins are everywhere underground!)

Marriott Grand Hotel Flora location is OK but I don't especially like to be way up on Via Veneto even if it is considered a high end area.. The Boscolo looks more centrally positioned but still not my favorite area.
Book your airport pickup with romelimousines.com or romecabs.com. They both also offer other transfers and tours. Reliable. Reasonable.

Thank you for the information. We will be going on a cruise after our stay in Rome any ideas for transportation to Civitavecchia?
