Hotel Review: Positamy Positano

This past May my husband and I stayed in a lovely B&B in Positano--Positamy in the Marty Suite for two nights. We were looking for a quaint place with a spectacular view and wonderful hospitality and found it in this charming B&B. The owner, Tamara, lovingly restored this garden oasis and created a relaxing place for a few nights in Positano. The place was a bit pricey, but the experience was well worth it.

Highlights

  • Hospitality: from the moment we booked, Tamara provided us with all the information we needed for a relaxing stay. She helped arranged transportation, made restaurant reservations, and did everything she could to make our stay memorable.
  • Amenities: our suite, was well stocked with daily snacks, including fresh strawberries from the garden. We had a fully stocked fridge with juice, sodas, water, Limoncello. The B&B provided a light breakfast in the room and a voucher to have a more substantial breakfast at a local cafe.
  • The View; it was stunning, nestled high up on the hill, we had a view of the town and the water. One of the best places to watch a sunset with a glasss of wine.

The only caveat is that there were ~140 steps to get to our room. We did not have to carry our luggage, but the number of stairs provided a workout. It is only a few minutes from the beach, but since Positano is a very vertical town, it was a lot of walking up and down inclines to reach the beach area.
