With view balcony, parking, great breakfast, friendly.

Have a look at Hotel Garni Walter http://www.garniwalter.it/eng/. Stayed twice before we went the self-catered route. Lovely couple run it, ample parking, standard local - but very good - breakfast.

Hotel Grones in Ortisei gave us one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! We will return there and recommend it highly.

Another vote for Hotel Grones. We had a Great 4 day experience but I would not consider it “mid priced” by USA standards.

We stayed at a lovely place run by a small family. The husband is the chef and they are all wonderful people. The breakfast and Dinners are amazing. Stua Catores is a beautiful place, great rooms and views also.
