Does anyone have a good hotel recommendation anywhere near the Spanish Steps in Rome? We've stayed in this area before and would like to again, but have lost the information on our previous accommodations. Thanks for any tips!
My adult daughter & I stayed at the Hotel Manfredi Suite which is very close to the Spanish Steps but tucked into a quiet street. Their breakfast was excellent and the hotel room was old-world elegant.
We stayed at Incentrum, which is an apartment hotel in a couple of buildings very near the Spanish Steps.
We liked it very much. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, although we did have a LOT of stairs to climb. (The other building has an elevator, though.)
We stayed at the Inn at the Spanish Steps and enjoyed the hotel. But we disliked the area near the Spanish Steps, too many tourist crowds.
We will never stay in this part of Rome again.
Having been there not too long ago, Yes there does seem to be a 247 party at the base of the steps and *certainly an even larger non-stop party at the nearby Trevi Fountain. But if you go just two streets over it goes back to just "normal" crowds and outdoor cafes. It might be best to get a place a block or two or three away from those hot spots.
There are so many small outfits that offer walk-up rooms off side streets

You don't mention how long ago it was, but if you can pin down the date approximately, you could contact your credit card company to see if they have a record of the charge. That would give you the name.
If you use TripIt for your itinerary, you can go back into past trips to see the accommodations, too.
We liked Hotel Mozart very much. Our parents stayed in the hotel and our family of 4 stayed in one of their nearby Via Ripetta apartments that is owned/managed by the hotel.
