We are spending a few days in Cefalu before joining Rick Steves Sicily tour in Palermo. Cefalu is no longer on his tour, but I know they use to use Hotel La Giara in Cefalu. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels either on the water or in the city center? Thank you!

Hotel Mediteraneo, very near the train station. Cefalu is fairly small. The train station is a short walk to the beach and shopping, touring, restaurants, etc. An elevator at the back of the hotel building connects to the street, several levels below. I stayed here a six years ago. On a RS tour a few years before that we were housed in this hotel.
