We stayed at the Citidines hotel appts on La Ramblas. We got a studio with small kitchenette but they also have 1 bedroom units. It's close to everything. A modern grocery store across the street. The Boqueria market a short walk away. The hotel has 24 hr reception, security, self serve laundry for a small fee, and a rooftop deck with views. It's also close to Placa de Catalunya where there is the metro, hop on hop off buses, and the aerobus to the airport. Pretty basic interior. Our room was right overlooking La Ramblas and we only had noise one night. I might avoid that room if it was the weekend.
