We had a happy stay! Lots of ways to describe this hotel: Charming, quirky, clean, nice staff, spacious rooms, fine breakfast and a very attractive courtyard. Private , as well.. buzz to get in the front gate.. Well located, to see the archaelogical museum and the Veiled Christ. If possible, go ahead and spring for a balcony room.. The view was amazing and the room was plenty large.. We stayed in off season, so the price was extremely reasonable!
Earlier I had posted with the wrong name in title! Sorry!
Thanks, Christy. I'm bookmarking the page.
My then college-aged daughter and I stayed there several years ago and also found it delightful. The staff were lovely, helpful, and their recommendation for a restaurant for dinner (don't recall the name) was fantastic. The Piazza Bellini is not only wonderfully located, clean and comfortable, but also felt very safe and welcoming in a bustling urban area. They arranged a taxi to pick us up fairly late in the evening in the airport. The driver knew the hotel folks, and was looking for us; once we arrived at the hotel, he got out of his taxi and stayed with us until we were inside the hotel gates. One other perc: Daughter and I both arrived there with very bad colds - or the beginning of one. The staff had a large bowl of very fresh oranges from the tree in the yard available in the breakfast room at all times. For two days, we each ate 5-7 daily of the most delicious oranges I've ever tasted. And within 48 hours we were both healthy again!
