You will need to decide if you want to stay on the mainland (Mestre) for cheaper parking, or pay more to park at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma in Venice proper. Here's a guide to parking in Venice : https://fullsuitcase.com/venice-by-car/

Since you are only staying one night, look at booking.com or similar for hotels near Piazzale Roma. Can't really recommend anything without knowing what amenities you want or your price range.

You are not going to have your car in Venice.

You will park it somewhere, maybe the huge parking garage near the cruise ship terminal. And then walk to Piazzale Roma and take a vaporetto (water bus) from there. But with only one night, I suggest you keep it simple and stay in a hotel near Piazzale Roma. You can use the maps on booking.com or Google maps satellite view to see hotels and prices in that location. There are some small canals there and hotels that sit right on the canal.

There are NO cars in Venice. They are not allowed, nor are there roads or anywhere to park. You will use the Vaporetto/boat to get around.

You also have this posted in the ITALY REVIEWS section - a place for you to give us a REVIEW of something.

You will have more answers if you post this in the DESTINATION - Italy section. You can also search for this in the search bar - as hotels in Venice are brought up often.

Do not recommend driving to your hotel in Venice, unless you have full coverage

If you're looking for affordable hotel options in Venice, there are a few great choices available. Hotel Florida is a great option, located on the Lido di Venezia, offering clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. Not only is it close to the beach, but it also has easy access to water taxis that can take you to the main city.

Another option is Hotel Minerva & Nettuno, located in the heart of Venice. The hotel offers basic but clean and comfortable rooms, and it's conveniently located near many of Venice's top attractions, including St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, and the Doge's Palace.

If I had one night in Venice I would definitely not want to stay out on the Lido, with the extra transportation time that entails. And water taxis are very expensive.
