We have been staying over by the Vatican Museum at the Ottaviano metro station the last 2 trips. B&B prices are reasonable there.
The Pantheon area is a little pricey on rooms, but very desirable with good restaurants, etc. You can see many rooms on Booking.com if you stipulate the specific neighborhood.

Hotel Palazzo Navona, between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona on a quiet side street.

We stayed at Albergo Santa Chiara located right behind the Pantheon. Great location, nice breakfast choices, nice staff.

I stayed at Navona Garden Suites in 2011 and liked it a lot. It's near Piazza Navona and I think it's called something slightly different now. Once through the big door the noise from the street outside fades and the interior courtyard was quiet and lovely for relaxing and having a snack. Have a great trip!
