Hotel Casci in Florence - a gem

I recently stayed at Hotel Casci in Florence. The hotel is a small family run hotel in a great location (very short walk to all major sights and train station). The hotel has a very un-assuming exterior and is located on the second floor of a restored palazzo (does have a lift). The rooms are clean and very comfortable with charging stations for all electronics and a small fridge for use by guests (eg. not a mini-bar). Tablets were available for guests. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. I mentioned a place I was planning to go to for dinner, the guy (I feel so bad I forgot his name) recommended I go around the block for a much better dinner option ( and he was right). The breakfast was better than most I have had in Italy. The hotel is rated 2 stars, but I have stayed in 3-4 star hotels with much less character/service/breakfast than Hotel Casci. If you are looking for no frills but nice rooms, good breakfast, and great staff this hotel is a keeper. Will definitely go back.

Thanks, cbrochu. We're thinking about Florence for next June. I checked out the website, and the place looks great.
