Hotel Berna Milan

I stayed 6 nights at Hotel Berna, April 20-26. I read recommendations here on the forum and I know I booked months in advance and it was cancellable if needed. My room was very comfortable, very clean, windows could open, had a tea kettle and great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, automatically speaking English as I really don’t look Italian. I don’t remember exactly but I think my room rate averaged out to about $140 a night.

It was close to the main train station but the area was very safe for walking I felt. As a solo woman traveler I never felt any concerns about the area. Also, lots of restaurants around. I definitely can recommend it.

Agreed- and great happy hour and free mini bar with water and soft drinks. We also love the breakfast!

Awesome. I agree!
This was a great hotel for me as well, a female solo traveler staying overnight. They were kind to help me find the vegan items at the lovely breakfast buffet. Even fresh carrot juice. Wish I knew about the happy hour. Next time!

The staff were attentive and my room was just big enough, on a quiet side toward the back. Easy walk to train station and metro.

Yes, Shawn and Pat. I forgot to mention the mini bar with 2 water bottles, one still, one fizzy and 2 soft drinks gratis. I never stay in hotels classy enough for that! Plus in the lobby there were nice little cookie packages and in their bar they gave you a generous pour of your choice of several white wines for a very good price with some very nice nibbles to go along.
