I'm looking for a simple, economical hotel/B&B in Milan for 1 night in late September - clean, safe, quiet (if possible). Ideally convenient to the train station. I know Milan is expensive and when I look at bookings.com the prices are all over the map. I was hoping to find a place for around $100- $150. Maybe that's not possible but I thought I'd ask.

Try Hotel Garda. Very close to Milano Centrale and the Metro.
We stayed at Hotel Berna very close to the train station, clean, safe and a great breakfast buffet!
We have stayed at Hotel Berna twice. Love it! Wish I could stay tonight!
