We are arriving from Miami for one night in Milan. For This short visit is it smart to stay near the Duomo for easy walkability? Has anyone stayed at Sina de la Ville? Any restaurants near Duomo that you would recommend? Thank you in advance.
For Milan, staying near the Duomo does mean many things are walkable. However, Milan has an efficient Metro, so don't worry about staying outside the very center as long as you are near a Metro station.
I once stayed outside the center and 10-15 minutes walk from a Metro station - I'll never make that mistake again!
When we have one night in Milan, we always stay at the Hotel Berna by Milano Centrale and we love to eat at Osteria Mamma Rose just down the street. It is an easy hop to the Duomo on the Metro if you want to have a look around. We don’t care for the restaurants in that area, especially those in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
Thank you both for your suggestions.
