Great stay in Puglia! Masseria Garrappa

Without accommodations for a few nights, we called and got a room at Masseria Garrappa - and what a great choice it turned out to be. Driving through the beautiful poppy filled olive groves along the sea, we turned down the small lane leading to the Masseria and came upon the lovely building and friendly staff of Masseria Garrappa. Roberto has taken over management in Dec. 2013 with tremendous energy and vision for the future. After being shown to our large, clean and nicely decorated room with sea view (complete with nice bathroom, mini bar, TV, free wifi etc.) we were offered a tour of the property by Roberto - which was informative as well as beautiful; an ancient chapel, lovely courtyards, stunning walled Arab garden with citrus trees, fig trees, huge pepper trees, fragrant rose covered walkways, quince, ancient wells and irrigation system.
Convenient (30 minutes) to Matera, Alberobello, Polignano a mare, ancient ruins and Museo at Egnazio, the location is very convenient. Food was fantastic and wine selections wonderful, in fact we extended our stay to attend a cooking school offered. Robertos mama and head chef was so fun and knowledgeable, and our resulting dinner was not to be believed! They are sourcing local foods, wines and olive oil. The breakfast offered is extensive and pastries and jams all made in house! We thought Masseria Garrappa was fabulous and Roberto and staff extremely friendly and professional, and the potential is unlimited! We will definitely go back again some day!

Sounds like you really enjoyed your stay. What town is Masseria Garrappa located? What was the price you paid per night?
