We plan on staying there one night enroute by train from Nice to Milan, flying home from Milan. Has anyone experience in Genoa? Looks like a nice old town.

We had one whole night there back in 2008. Our main reason for visiting was the aquarium, which we enjoyed. We basically just wandered around the town admiring. My memory is pretty vague...I know the waterfront area was nice. And there were some cool buildings in the city. We didn't really have an agenda, other then the aquarium and to spend a morning and afternoon wandering around...
