Frances Lodge is a little slice of heaven outside Siena
The olive farm (and other stuff) is absolutely beautiful. It smells of Lavendar and Jasmine. Frances is an excellent gardner and her crocus' is gorgeous (it produces saffron). She supplies a few restaurants in town with all her beautiful herbs.
Her and Franco are very sweet and will help you each morning in your day trip to discover the Tuscan Hill Towns even providing maps and history.
Their rooms are beautiful, spacious and their bathrooms are an American's dream. We had the yellow room and the shower was large enough for two people without touching.
Franco's family has lived on that farm for almost 300 years.
Each morning you will get a nice breakfast with jams, honey etc....made from the fruits and bees on the farm.
This is THE place to stay in Siena.
