Just returned from Italy my 5th trip. While in Florence I enjoyed the best Florentine Steak at the Market Center. Although the setting is not a cozy restraunt it was a by far the best steak i had in Tuscany. Easily surpassing the steak I had at OSTERIA ACQUACHETA "FIORENTINA" in Montepulciano 4 days later at a much cheaper price point.

Thank you for posting. I have been to Italy twice and to Florence once. I still salivate over the memories of the bistecca ala Fiorentina that we had at Hostaria il Desco in Florence. Good food makes great memories.

ltyjcy, where did you have it at Mercato Centrale? Tosca? Would be helpful for others bound for Florence know. :O)

When we go to Florence having a Bisteca dinner is a must!! We like Antico Ristoro di Cambi and I usually make the reservation a few days before we leave.
