We have one night each in the following: Orvieto, Todi/Dereta, Cortona, Perugia/Assis, Trasiemo Lake. Any ideas on best hotel/vrbo accomadations?

Why would you change hotels so often? Cortona and Lake Trasimeno are near each other, Perugia/Assisi and Todi, Deruta too.
We visited all of those easily from Cortona. Orvieto is on the way back to Rome either by car or train.

Why move everyday?
Suggestions:
1- Post your question in the "Italy" section of "DESTINATION Q & A"
2- pick one or two places and do day trips to the others
