Cruise mediterraen with older teenagers

Thinking of doing an Azamara Cruise Italy, Croatia , Ibiza with our 22 year old and 15 year old boys just concerned they might be bored. Any feedback appreciated

How many days? The areas you are going to are beautiful. Photography could keep them very involved on land. Ck with your cruise line to see what activities they have avail. I just returned from a canary island and spain cruise and they had plenty on board for that age grp. Shuffleboard , swimming, basketball courts, golf cage, internet room etc. best consider the internet package also.

Thanks for your replies, really appreciate your feedback.
It's a seven day cruise: Spain, Ibiza two days, Palma De Mallorca, Minorca, Corsica, Elba, Florence, ending in Rome.
We did a celebrity cruise when the kids were young and there were kids clubs lots of families etc. This cruise is apparently different and not many teens on board.

Your 22 yr old is not a teen boy but an adult !!!!
Your 15 yr old is too old for children's clubs in ships , most teens just go to them to play video games anyways .

The stops are fun and I imagine they'll have a good time ( we love Mallorca btw) it's a port intensive cruise so I am sure they will be busy sightseeing with you all day and in evening can just do their own thing in the boat with other kids ( my boys were 13 and 15 and other than having dinner with us they took off in evening and found other kids to hang out with )

My boys would be bored out of their mind on a cruise.

Drop them off in Ibiza and pick them up at the end.

I think you'll get a lot more advice if you post your questions on Cruise Critic. There is a board specifically devoted to each cruiseline. Given that Azamara is a premium line, they don't attract as many families as the mass market lines. But I'm sure there will be people who are very familiar with your ship who can suggest shipboard activities that might interest your sons. Agree with a previous poster - not really boys any more, but young men.

Emily doubt that , don't they like meeting other teens in the evening and visiting beaches and sights during the day . Isn't that what you do on a land based vacation ? I've travelled Europe for four decades , and I've taken my kids . They don't get bored . They also got to go in a cruise ( Caribbean ) and they had a blast , sailing and swimming in day and meeting girls at night !

I think you've never been on a cruise so are making assumptions about them , this one has a stop everyday so the ship is just a mobile hotel room . They aren't going to have time to play shuffleboard with Gopher .

What do the boys think about your idea? Their initial reaction will give you some clues.

However I will say be careful what line one takes teens on , very expensive exclusive lines won't have many teens and kids on board , mostly old folks , I'd review what cruise ship line you use carefully .

Azamara is a luxury cruise line, and the more expensive cruises have older people and more conservative activities. The kids might have a better time on a larger ship that caters to cruisers closer to their age.
This is where a good independent cruise travel consultant comes in.

We have cruised on Azamara and there were no kids on the ship. In fact, not many people under age thirty. I would imagine one of the big ships with zip line and lots of kid activities would appeal to your sons.

The 15 year old perhaps but not the 22 year old. I know that I, as a 22 year old, would have been bored stiff on a cruise ship. At 22 I was partying throughout the night in the clubs of Ibiza with my friends and would never have considered going on holiday with my parents.
