Hotel: Albergo Marina
A great place that makes you feel at home. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Nice room and bathroom in the heart of old town Monterosso. We would highly recommend Albergo Marina.
Best hotel breakfast of our entire two week trip. Elraldo, the owner, making sweet or savory crepes or scrambled eggs each day. Great pastries and fresh fruit to go along with everything. A big bonus if you take advantage of it is their complementary pasta lunch. Simple and basic pasta with either Pesto or red sauce (or combined for a great flavor) and a nice glass of wine. I love pesto, In my opinion, Elraldo’s Pesto is the best I have ever had anywhere!!! The local restaurants would charge a minimum of 10 euro for the Pesto dish and Elraldo offers it to his guests free!! I would have paid for that Pesto - It was that good.
In addition, the hotel loans you snorkel gear and a beach umbrella that you can take to the free beaches (however, we recommend paying for the beach-much better than the free beach).
Definitely will stay here again next time we visit. If anyone would like some pics of the breakfast, let me know.
