Has anyone found bleu cheese, gorgonzola or other cheese gelato in Italy? If yes, where?
In Firenze (reportedly and likely not daily)
- Gelateria de’ Medici: gorgonzola and pear
- Gelateria dei Neri: ricotta and fig
- Cantina del Gelato: goat cheese and walnut
Oh, and if you can edit your post to move it to Italy instead of Italy Reviews, you might get more responses.
Hi, having one of the options for flavors with gorgonzola and/or ricotta are pretty common in the nicer gelato shops.
Just a couple of them that I remember:
Tarta de Queso (a delicious cheesecake/wild strawberry gelato) was at Suso in Venice during two separate trips.
Gioelia in Parma & Cremona had ricotta with caramelized figs, and a wild berry cheesecake last year.
Barga in Tuscany: fig and cheese (was it goat cheese or ricotta?) was wonderful
Thank you all for the great info and posts!
