Cheap accommodation in Rome

Hi. We returned from Rome last week. We stayed at A CASA SIMPATIA(www.casasimpatia.com) and liked it very much. The apartment was centrally located, cheap but cosy. The breakfast was included in the price of the stay. As a nice surprise we were given 2lunches,a bottle of Italian wine and a book about Rome for free. The owner Paolo was always ready to help us. We recommend A CASA SIMPATIA to everybody.

I have one question concerning accommodation in Florence. Does anybody of you have a tip for a cheap accommodation in Florence? Thanks in advance

We liked Hotel Dali (RS recommendation) close to Duomo -- October 2012.

Have you tried Airbnb? I've always used it on my travels, and sometimes, you can negotiate on the price with the hosts, haha :)
