Any hotel recommendations in cefalu? Thank you
I stayed at Hotel La Giara. It is very well located in the center of the Old Historic Town, about three blocks from the main piazza and duomo in a pedestrianized area. We chose this modest hotel because many of the B&Bs that we found had multiple flights of steps up steep side streets and we wanted to avoid that. This hotel was in a fairly flat area, had an elevator, a good breakfast that was included in my hotel rate, AC, wifi, a flat shower in our room, a rooftop terrace with views of the sea and a great location. My friend and I shared a twin room with ensuite. Room and bathroom were small but we really spent very little time in our room and it was fine for us. Our room did not have a balcony, but some did. We stayed here two nights. Price was also budget friendly, at least back then! We came in and out of Cefalù by train. From the train station to the hotel it is about a 15 minute walk.
We liked Scirocco- which was budget friendly, had warm welcoming staff and awesome rooftop breakfast with a view, and was centrally located. We were also permitted to enjoy the sunsetting into the sea from the rooftop with our own wine and snacks and that was lovely. The downside is there are lots of steps to get up to your accommodations - but we thought it was worth it and it helped us to justify additional cannoli :-).
