It is an experience to stay at Casa di Santa Brigida. Some of the Sisters do speak English well .. others can communicate as necessary for tourists to understand. The building is fantastic! Dining room for breakfast is wonderful. Guest rooms are very clean and relatively "spartan" as befits a convent. If you like a busy hotel front desk with people coming and going with lots of conversation, this is not it. However, it is a unique experience and their location next door to Campo dei Fiori is fantastic. Lots of vendors in the Campo. I believe there is a bus that stops in front of - or next to - Casa Santa Brigida. The area is also handy to Trastevere and Piazza Navona and walking distance to Piazza Venezia/Coloseum/Pantheon/Piazza Navona. Once you get your bearings, you will see that you are within walking distance of many major sites. This was a typical "Roman" neighborhood with artisan workshops - now with restaurants and fancy stores. This is true for all of Rome, unfortunately. However, Casa Brigida is unique and if you are able to get reservations, I would not hesitate! Buona Fortuna!
