We do not want a Restaurant on the Grand Canal but one off the beaten track. We did eat at one that looked onto the Canal several years ago which was awesome but for the life of me cannot remember the name. Oops. We will have our granddaughter with us this time so would love to have dinner on a canal.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Where are you staying in Venice? You might appreciate recommendations for places in the neighborhood around your hotel.

Shelley, Look at Trattoria da Gigio, on a smaller, side canal, with very good food!
We have had dinner there several times.
