Can anyone recommend restaurants in Menaggio or Bellagio?

Hello will be in Menaggio in late June, and I am looking for some restaurant recommendations. Most of the party is gluten free/dairy free which does present some challenges. We have managed this well in other parts of Italy, but do miss good pizza and pasta. I have found some dairy free gelato!

We have gone to Bellagio four times, once for two weeks. Our two favorites have stars!
Some favorites are:
*Ristorante Alle Darsene di Loppia- a short walk south of town center, always good
Bilacus-
*Terrazza Barchetta- a favorite
La Punta- on northern point of town, beautiful views. Walk down there even just for a drink..
San Giacomo
La Grotta -for pizza

In Bellagio, I highly recommend a wine tasting/enoteca/wine bar place. Apertivo Et Al. Staff was very gracious, there were some little snacks and they have some choices for guided wine tasting. There was usually 3 wines in each tasting selection.

We ate dinner right next door at Ristorante Bilacus. The staff was friendly and the food and choices were traditional Italian and exactly what we were looking for. Regardless of whether you go to the wine bar or restaurant be sure to look down "street" they are on catch the great view down and onto the lake.

EDITED TO ADD: Across the street from Bilacus there was a restaurant with the same owner as Bilacus. It was on the corner. It actually looked more interesting to me, but my husband is a bit less adventurous and picked Bilacus

I agree with Suki. Be sure to walk to the point. La Punta

I can wholeheartedly recommend Trattoria Baita Blevedere. The restaurant is perched high on the mountain side above Bellagio. The view of Lake Como was spectacular especially as the sun fell and the lights below came on. When you make a reservation you can request to be picked up at your accommodation or from a central point in Bellagio. The restaurant is family owned and most of the wonderful food served is sourced from their farms on the mountain. The service is efficient, warm and friendly.

We fondly remember this dining experience and consider it one of the most romantic dinners we've had in all of our European travels. I hope you get a chance to experience it.
