In Orvieto, we would highly recommend B&B Michelangeli (f_michelangeli@alice.it). Francesca was so accommodating. As she said, she often has guests sleep past their appointed time to leave because of the coziness and comfort of her place (bedroom, sitting/dining room, cheerful/romantic decor, spacious bathroom as well as well fitted kitchen, washing machine, etc.). We had a hard time leaving it to sightsee. She recommended that we have dinner at Fedo, a recently opened restaurant. The owner, Marco, and family took 6 months to set up; it had been open 2 weeks when we visited September 2014. Marco hopes to change the menu daily depending on what is in season. I especially enjoyed the two soft boiled eggs and shaved truffles. Service was excellent.
