B & B in the Mountains, east of Genoa

On 6/29/14 we attended the Festival of the Emmigrants in Favale di Malvaro, a beautiful town nestled in the mountains east of Genoa (about a 1 1/2 hour drive). We stayed at Osteria della Fonte Buona, a Bed and Breakfast (and lunch and dinner too if you like!) run by Giovanni Bottino- owner/chef. It was beautiful, peaceful, romantic and we ate like royalty. Giovanni is a spectacular chef. This is an area for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The 3 available rooms are all decorated tastefully, yet with the utmost elegance. I highly recommend it if you are looking for peace and quiet, but with 5 star cuisine.
