I’ve loved Rick Steves’s recommendations for lower cost B&Bs in Europe. Help need for one night in July in downtown Catania before catching up w my travel companions, preferably on or near Via Etnea, Via Crociferi, Piazza Duomo or Piazza Stesicoro. Thank you in advance!

We needed a hotel in Catania for one night only a few years ago and stayed at the Hotel Etnea 316, right there on Via Etnea. Perfect for our needs.

We stayed at al Duomo Inn B&B on Via Vittorio Emanuelle II, 210 Catania. (www.alduomoinn.it) The place was a very nice place and the owner was very hospitable, especially his sister who handled breakfast, she was a sweetheart and spoke English very well.
