Aperitivo in Venice

Looking for some suggestions/reviews for an aperitivo in Venice, a rooftop bar or terrace perhaps. Suggestion for dinner would also be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim

An Aperol or Compari Spritz is one of our favorite aperitivos in Venice. The best (althrough not cheap) location would be at night at one of the places on San Marco with an orchestra. For an excellent meal check out Trattoria Da Marco Valla Fava on Calle Stagneri which is in the Rialto Bridge area. We've eaten there many times and have always had a good experience. Lunch is less expensive, but the food is still the same. They've been around at least fifty years so it would seem they are doing things well.

alessandro, a local Venetian, does a bar crawl “cicchetti tour”. wine/spritz, finger food snacks and history of venice while “crawling” around to a few bars. you will have to email him for more info and reserving a spot.

click food and drink, click “spritzing on the roof”
just a few different options and “tours” to search and see if something interests you. we liked the smaller group and had lots of fun plus enjoying the activity. good luck, have a great time

We really enjoyed Ai Stagneri for aperitivo & cicchetti. Probably the best Aperol Spritz we had in Italy, good little snacks and a fun atmosphere. Nothing fancy but definitely memorable!

Also had a good experience at Da Mamo for dinner, very good pasta and pizza looked good as well.

We loved Osteria al Squero. The quality of the cicchetti and drinks was great (and reasonable). There is a view of the gondola workshop outside. Enjoy your trip.
