Any suggestions for a hotel in Selva, Val Gardena?

Garni Schenk looks like a great location at the base of the Champanoi lift. I've stayed at the Hotel Des Alpes, a 3-star, the Oswald, a 4-star, and the Gran Baita, a 5-star. All of them further away from the lifts.

Nigel, we will be there in September. I had a hard time finding a place to stay in Val Gardena. We ended up staying in Alpi di Siusi (Castelrotto) I was looking for something more moderately priced. Perhaps higher end ones have openings. One place I was really interested in was Garni Crepaz. However, they weren't available for one of our days.

Given that hotels in Val Gardena give you a free bus pass for the region and the towns are only 15 minutes apart Selva is great but you may find more options in Santa Cristina or Ortisei. Shouldn't be a need to go all the way to Castelrotto. Charm Hotel Uridl in Santa Cristina or the Hotel Madonna Dolomiti in Ortisei have worked out very well for me.,

Without knowing your budget….

Hotel Gardena in Ortisei was one of the best places we have ever stayed.
