Anyone have reviews on restaurants Felice da Testaccio (Rome) Trattoria ZaZa & La Giostra (Florence)?
We have eaten at ZaZa several times and liked it. The salads and Ribbolitta were great. Try for outdoor dining.
We've eaten at ZaZa a couple of times on the recommendation of a Florence B&B owner. I recall he said don't go to any of the other close by restaurants. There are several in a row with outdoor seating. I remember one ZaZa meal was really good, and another was fairly good, but we may not have ordered as well on that one.
We had a lovely dinner at La Giostra, but that was 18 years ago! It was recommended to me by my son who studied in Florence for a year.
As for ZaZa, definitely heed the advice to avoid the adjacent restaurants. We did not, and I ended up with a risotto giardiniera that I could swear was made with Minute Rice and Birdseye frozen vegetables (peas and carrots).
