An Italian Dream Come True

We just returned from Europe, having spent one week of our trip in the townhouse connected with the Cretaiole Agriturismo and I cannot say enough good things about our experience staying in this lovely townhouse, and also about the entire week of activities available. All that you may read in other reviews of this place are TRUE. I booked our stay in the first place because Rick Steve's wrote that his week there was one of the best experiences he'd ever had in Italy. It was definitely our best also. And this townhouse was PERFETTO!! The pictures are totally accurate. If Walt Disney ever created the perfect Italian townhouse in the perfect Italian tiny village, it wouldn't be more perfect than this! Very Highly recommend.

Thank you. We're thinking Italy again, but probably not until 2017, unless life gets a lot simpler. Hah!

Cretaiole has been discovered! But that doesn't mean that's it's become "commercialized." The family still takes you in like you are their best friend! However, what it does mean is that you MUST book way in advance. We are returning summer of 2016 and actually booked our two weeks (one week isn't enough) over a year in advance. While you probably won't need to do it that far out, depending on the time of year you want to stay I would guess you will need at least 9 months notice for any security.
Good Luck!

I agree. I have been went to Italy a year ago on holiday. It was an awesome experience for me. If you ever have been in Italy then these ten places you must visit:
1. Naples
2. Italian Lake District
3. Sicily
4. Cinque Terre
5. Milan
6. Amalfi Coast
7. Pompeii
8. Venice
9. Tuscany
10. Rome
Apart these place there are few delicacies that not to be missed.
1. Arancini
2. Coffee
3. Lasagne
4. Pasta
5. Pizza Margherita
6. Saltimbocca
and there are many other too but I haven't that much time to try all of those. Now I am planning a trip to Thailand. I found a good place(https://twitter.com/moonthaisushi) in Florida, USA to try authentic Thai food.

For me, in Italy I would advise:
- Florence, Sienna and Tuscany, Saturnia hot waters, Tuscania.
- Etruscan coast, Island of Elba and Tuscan Archipelago.
- North Italy Lake District
- Tarquinia
- Ischia and Capri Islands, Amalfi coast and Naples
- Ravenna, Venice, Verona, Dolomite
- Umbria, Perugia, Gubbio, Lago Trasimeno
Piedmont: Turin, Langhe, Val di Susa, Alba and its famous white truffle, Asti.
Sicily wherever it takes you. Do not miss Syracuse and Taormina.

Other Delicacies than those above:
- Truffles
- baby cakes, Binet and chocolates of all sorts in Piedmont
- Piedmont Cheese
- Fontina fondue
- Rum baba in the South
- Scalopina Milanese
- cassata siciliana
