Agriturismo near Pienza - Cretaiole - amazing!

I, selfishly, hesitate to recommend this place because I don't want it to become so popular that I have difficulty getting a reservation in the future! It was that great! The Moricciani family and Carlotta make you feel so at home and welcome. We hadn't planned anything for the week we were there, October 24-31, 2015 and a good thing because they had so much to offer. The Dolce Vita package was phenomenal - the food was enough for days - farm fresh eggs, bacon, pastry, fruit, etc. And the activities that it included were all amazing. We also did a few of the extra tours and it all exceed expectations. We stayed in the L'Oliviera and it had a beautiful fireplace in the livingroom. The kitchen was well equipped and all the basics were provided. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. However, you have to have a car (and GPS!) to get here and to see the area. Looking forward to a return visit some day!

If you read about Italian travel online very much, the name Cretaiole will come up as a superior agriturismo.
I just wish it was located a little closer to Florence rather than being in the hills southeast of Siena--pretty much off the beaten path.

Last time we were in the area, we found the roads to be well paved, but somewhat hilly and crooked. We'd just ramble from town to town without road maps or GPS--and didn't have the least problem finding our way.
