I'm happy to see this new feature and to spread the word about some places we enjoyed on our trip in May 2013.
Agrigento - stayed at Le Casette di Lu, off Via Atenea; a charming place with a very helpful hostess and an incredibly generous breakfast! Ate twice at Ristorante Per Bacco, which is up a few steps from Via Atenea; they have a nice little courtyard out front if the weather is good, but our second vist it was rainy so we ate inside.
Siracusa - stayed at Mini-hotel B&B Spiraglio, on the island of Ortigia. Very quiet but easy to reach all the sights we wanted to see. Our hostess Rita gave us a nice breakfast every morning including homemade jam or cake, and drove us to the bus stop at the end of our visit. Ate twice at the jazz bar Barollo, which offers a light buffet for a few euros if you are buying drinks. Tasty and inexpensive, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.
