THANK YOU! FOUND Accommodations in Venice -May 15-May 19

We plan on staying in Venice before our Village Tour in Italy which starts in Padua.
My husband and I are looking at 2- 3 nights traveling from Nice.

Any hotel recommendations? We'd like a private bathroom.
For 3 nights- We'd like to keep it under $ 1,000 Euros

THank you

Satoko

You'll get more responses if you provide a nightly budget in euros and tell when you'll be in Venice.

Without knowing your budget, I suggest budget friendly B&B Corte Campana. Three rooms each with private bath and a/c, close to San Marco but in quieter Castello. https://www.cortecampana.com/

I see you updated your post to include your budget. B&B was about half that last August. But I’ll leave my post up; perhaps someone else will be interested. I’ve stayed there twice.

We like Hotel Ai Mori D'Oriente, on the quiet back canals in Cannaregio. We are going there for our third time this spring. The hotel is charming and the staff are great. They have their own dock if you're using a water taxi. If using the Alilaguna from the airport, use the Madonna d'Orta stop. You can take sunset pix without anyone in the frame, no crowds, yet there are plenty of restaurants and shops.
It's a ten minute walk to a vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal. The train station is about 15 minutes walk.
Research reviews on booking.com, but book directly for the best price.
Enjoy!

It's probably already booked as they only have 9 rooms - but Al Ponte Antica is our favorite.

It is a palace from Centuries ago. It is at the Rialto Bridge and it has a private dock, so you can even take a private water taxi from the airport if you don't want to deal with the Vaporetto.

The owners are amazing and serve the best breakfast.

You can read reviews & see photos on TripAdvisor, but book direct with Al Ponte Antica.

We stayed at Hotel Flora for 3 nights before taking the Village Italy tour last year. Great location, friendly staff and within your budget of 1,000 Euros for 3 nights. Highly recommend!

I will triple the above recommendation for Al Ponte Mocenigo.

We loved B & B Corte Campana! The room was huge, spotless and the hosts were incredibly nice. We were sad to go. They helped me a lot with trip planning and have a lot of info on their website.

I’ll add my triple the recommendation for B&B Corte Campana. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights before going to Padua to join the Village Italy tour. Everything about our stay was great and I thought it was very reasonably priced.

In a Venice trip last year, I utilized the services of https://www.viewsonvenice.com/, as recommended in this travel forum when planning my trip. The quiet apartment, with full kitchen and living room, was excellent and located well for exploring Venice.

We loved Al Ponte Mocinego. They have what is called a water door so you can enter right from the canal. They arranged a private transfer for us from the airport which was so nice. Make sure you get a room in the main section and not the annex. rooms are huge and lovely and breakfast yummy. It is very convenient with a stop right there. You can get everywhere and you can walk to St. marks if you are fit.

I forgot to add that we did this hotel before the Village Italy tour. It was very convenient to take the train then to Padua.
