Need a good place outside the walls, as we have a car.

I have stayed at several hotels within the walls. Most allow you to drop your bags then park the car at one of the free lots outside the walls.

We stayed inside the walls for four days and our hotel, Hotel Palazzo Alexander, parked our car in a lot outside the walls that they owned. Try to stay inside the walls! Our hotel was very nice.

Stay inside the wall in one of the hotels recommended in the RS guidebook. E-mail or call your hotel to discuss the car parking. Several times we have been able to drive the car to the hotel to unload our luggage then either we or the hotel will park the car. But you have to get the appropriate pass arranged ahead of time.
