Would 1pm be too late to arrive at the Bru Na Boinne Visitor's Center for a tour?

Greetings!
I have read that it is recommended to arrive at the visitors center as early as possible to ensure that you make it on a tour. Would 1pm be too late? We would be there on a Wednesday in May.

Thank you!

Not sure about May......but was fine for us in September. But it limited us to Newgrange and not Knowth. It's amazing and well worth going. We did Knowth another day. Awesome. Enjoy. Btw their little cafe at the visitors center had surprisingly good food while we waited. Not 10 out of 10......but surprised us. :)

We were just there last week. We arrived at 9:20 AM and could have taken the first tour at 9:45 AM but we opted to go at 10:15 so we could look around the visitor center first. We had lunch at the visitor center (and I agree with the previous statement not fantastic food but it was pretty good). We probably left around 1:00 PM and the visitor center did not seem full of people. The parking lot had a lot more cars in it than when we arrived but I did not get the sense that it was crowded. Hard call to make if this is a must see for you ....not sure what the lines would be like in May.

Thanks for the helpful information! I think we might try for a day when we can arrive earlier since we do not want to risk missing either Newgrange or Knowth.

Hope you really enjoy it. We did far more than we thought we would. Hopefully you'll have time to go through the visitor center "museum". Doesn't take long and gives a wonderful background on the sites. Not sure why they haven't excavated Dowth or some of the satellite burial mounds ? Does anyone know ?
I asked a ton of questions but not that.
