We will be driving from Kinsale to Dublin, trying to decide which gardens to stop at on the way: Gardens at the National Stud or Powerscourt. Any recommendations?

I can recommend Powerscourt highly, I loved the 1/2 day we spent there. If you drive up through the Wicklow mountains you will go very close to Powerscourt and the drive is beautiful.

Ive been to both .....id say depends on what yr personal tastes include. Powerscourt would be fairly traditional. The Stud would have the added benefits of the horses , a nice Japanese garden, and my.personal favorite, an area that looks like a cluster of monastic stone huts, but the floor is this amazing waterford crystal garden!!!

My vote's for Powerscourt! I've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the gardens both times.
