Where to stay one night in Dublin before returning home

Title kind of sums it up. I will be returning from Galway (eta ??) and have one night in Dublin before I hop on the silver bird. My flight is 10am so it'll be no late night pub crawls and early rising to get to the airport. Looking for suggestions for a not so expensive just to crash, get breakfast the next morning and to the flight. Ideas? thanks

p.s. from another post, considering Point A but would something closer to the airport be better?

Many stay in the coastal village of Malahide the night before as it’s a photogenic town with a castle and is just 5 miles from DUB airport.

Second recommendation for Malahide. Be sure to be at airport three hours before flight for US pre-clearance.

The Premier Inn near the airport is relatively inexpensive. The rooms are updated and clean and the a/c works well. There’s a shuttle ( €3) to the airport every half hour on the :15 and :45, and it’s a very short ride. We stayed there 3 weeks ago the night before our 9:30 a.m. flight. With having to do all the immigration and customs stuff before boarding your flight, you should allocate 3 hours at the airport, which in your case means being there by 7:00 a.m. We were super thankful for the extra half hour of sleep and not having to stress about morning traffic jams because we were already near the airport.

In our situation we had one final day in Dublin after returning by train at noon from Belfast. We pre-arranged to store our suitcases at a Stasher location near Connolly Station, enjoyed the day and an early dinner in Dublin, and then went to the hotel early evening.

I first heard about this particular hotel from others on this forum.

My rule of thumb, and this is just me because I am not a morning person, is that if my flight is before 11 AM, I usually stay near the airport.

It's been a number of years but I've stayed at the Carlton Hotel near the airport. They had a free shuttle between the hotel and the airport.

Thank you one and all. Ruth, Premier Inn looks just like I was looking for, and very affordable. Great tip on stashing the luggage.

And Frank, that's a good rule of thumb, I'll try to remember that. Last Sept., I had a very early morning flight from Athens. I stayed outside the city at a little coastal town just a few miles from the airport. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner with fresh seafood right on the waterfront, one of the best meals I had in a month of traveling. Full meal with glass of wine was €15.
