Where to stay in Trim

Our last night in Ireland will be in Trim. Any recommendations for a cozy place to stay & restaurant for me & my husband?

If you want a very nice BnB to stay at try Highfield House. www.highfieldguesthouse.com Don't mess with a booking agent just go directly to their website. It was a hospital back in the day and has been very nicely done into several rooms. It is right across the street from Trim Castle and is beautiful. We stayed there on our last trip and were a little weary of the traditional Irish breakfast by then and were very welcome to see that Gearldine had a great breakfast menu including omelettes.
We are going to Ireland again this June and are ending our trip there also. This time for two nights. It is about 35 minutes from Dublin airport so we want to be close to dump our car and catch our plane.
Can't give you any restaurant ideas but you won't lose with the BnB.

Have a great trip.

We stayed at at Highfield House a couple of years ago and heartily agree with the above. They were able to recommend good restaurants, as well as nearby pubs for real Trad music. We enjoyed our time in Trim and would gladly go back.

Ditto on Highfield House! We were there last October and enjoyed our stay.

We ate at Franzinis right across from Trim Castle and enjoyed it very much.
