Where to stay

Flying into Shannon in September 2020 and are looking for a good base to stay in to explore the west coast and rok area before moving on to Dublin. We have two weeks total with probably three days spent in Dublin. Does that seem to be enough time?Just starting setting up itinerary so suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You've already made a good choice by flying into Shannon and out of Dublin, but a little more information would be helpful:
will you have a car?
how many in your group, their ages and interests, etc?
Where are you coming from?
If I'm reading this right you'll have about 10 days for the west coast, which means you'll have plenty of time to see the sights.

2 adults. We plan on having a car for that part of the trip, seems like it would make things easier. We are coming from the US.

See Rick's suggested itinerary at https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/ireland/itinerary. You obviously don't need to complete the whole loop. He moves on pretty frequently, sleeping in both Kenmare and Dingle, for instance, rather than trying to visit multiple directions from a single home base. If that's your preference, you might be trading off more driving time each day in order to return to the comforts of "home."
