Where to put luggage

I have a six day, five night trip planned in Ireland this October.. First two nights in Dublin, Third night in Ennis, This is where it gets tricky:

I am renting a car for two days to drive to Ennis. Thursday morning I get the car, drive to Ennis and spend the night, drive back to Dublin Friday evening. The car is due back in Dublin on Saturday morning, On Saturday morning I would like to take a train or bus to Belfast for the night, and return to Dublin on Sunday for a 4:00 PM flight home.

Problems: I really do not want to schlep all of our luggage on the bus or train to Belfast. If I get a hotel room for Friday night in Dublin, then stay the next night in Belfast, what can I do with our luggage for that one night?

I have considered getting the Friday night room at the Airport Hilton, asking if they would hold our luggage. Don't know if they would do this.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Is your total trip 6 days, or are you packing heavily because you are on a longer trip than just Ireland? Maybe figure out a way to pack lighter?

If not, just how much luggage are you taking? How many people on this trip? Can you fit everyone and everything into your car rental?

Trip is just 6 days. Need the luggage for presents we are bringing back (I have a HUGE list). The luggage will fit in the rental. I need to store it from Saturday morning when I bus/train to Belfast and back the next day

There is a left luggage facility at the airport. Perhaps you could drop your car off at the airport, leave a bag at the left luggage counter with the stuff you don’t need, and pick the bag up before your Sunday flight.

I also suspect that there are left luggage facilities in the city. Just google ”left luggage.”. If you are staying in the same hotel in Dublin both nights, you could email them to see if they could hold it for you.
