Looking for recommendations on which eateries have the best oysters and/or seafood in Galway, that won't break the bank? Is that possible? If not, still interested in which places are known to have the best oyster options as we've heard that the oysters there are supposed to be really good!

We'll be watching with great interest for knowledgeable replies from the experts . We are also preparing for a trip including time in Connemara near Galway. I stumbled on a NY Times "36 hours" article (2016) that lists Galway sites and eateries. We have our eye on Moran's Oyster Cottage, mentioned in the article -- it's half an hour east of the city, but might be worth the effort (or perhaps a stop on the drive in -- still working on that strategy). Maybe your question will produce some comments based on actual experience.

That said, I'm guessing all the reputable seafood restaurants in Galway are serving local oysters from the same neighborhood.
