We are driving from Galway to Dublin tomorrow and plan to stop in Althone. Any food suggestion? Anywhere we must see/stop on the drive?

The Athlone Castle is well done. We also enjoyed Derryglad Folk Museum. Sean's Bar has operated since 900AD.
We also had what I'd say was the best lunch ever in a small restaurant whose name I've lost. It was not far from the castle but I've walked the streets on Streetview and not found it :-(
