I'm using Rick Steves' Best of Ireland book to plan our trip to Ireland next week. In it, he mentions a driving tour from Kilfenora to Kinvarra, noting that it's the best quick swing through the historic Burren and covers about 30 miles. Problem is, I can't find more details about this tour anywhere, except this very brief mention in the book. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
It's described in detail in his Ireland book (different from his Best of Ireland book).
If you can't exchange your Best of Ireland book, maybe you can borrow the full Ireland book from the library, or download the Kindle edition just to see that section.
Not sure about Rick's route but would think it's probably the same as this one. This is the route we took many years ago. The drive shown on this website is a loop from and to Kilfenora but after Lisdoonvarna, Black Head, and Ballyvaughn we continued to Kinvarna, rather than return to Kilfenora. It's a popular route through the Burren.
